The Science Museum in London is an amazing museum, very interactive and certainly a great choice for children, especially if the weather is rainy in London. But not only will the kids love it, adults are also dazzled by what can be seen in the museum.
The museum’s main objective is to showcase scientific, technological and medical advances from around the world through approximately 300,000 man-made objects, interactive galleries and simulators.
The Museum is very close to the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Museum Admission is Free, but some galleries may charge tickets.
The History of the Science Museum
Inaugurated in 1857 where the Victoria and Albert Museum is today, it was inspired by the popularity of the 1851 Grand Exhibition in Hyde Park and linked the objects used in the Great Exhibition with the Royal Society of Art collection.
The Museum was moved to the current building in 1928.

The Secret Life of Home
In this part of the museum you will travel back in time and see how home appliances were created and how they evolved. With many 19th century objects you will have a little idea what a kitchen was like in the last century and notice the differences in today’s products.
